The Programme
Job Assist Centre is a one to one, confidential service which aims to assist people into employment or training by providing them with their own personal Support Worker. The Support Worker helps each customer to find out what is stopping them from working or training and helps them put it right. Participants on Job Assist Centre can remain on the programme for as long as they like. Some remain for a long time whilst others register, get the information and support they require and progress to permanent or subsidised employment, further training or work experience within only a few weeks.
The Services
Job Assist Centre is not an office based programme. We work on an outreach basis meeting and working with people where they feel most comfortable and where it suits their needs.
Certain services form the key features of Job Assist Centre
However having your own Support Worker who really understands you and wants to help you means Job Assist Centre is much more than just these services.
The Partnership
Job Assist Centre is an element of Targeted Initiatives and is funded by the Department for Employment and Learning. Strabane & District Community Work Programme and Customized Training Services have formed a partnership in order to deliver Job Assist Centre believing that by working together they can provide the highest quality of service possible to the people of Strabane.
