Steps to Work

Steps to Work (StW) is a new and fresh approach to helping you find work. It offers a flexible menu of work related activities that can be tailored to suit your employment needs.
Steps 2 Work is a Department for Employment and Learning programme and is delviered in our area by South West Regional College in conjunction with locally based organisations including Strabane CWP.
What We Offer
- Step Ahead(a temporary waged job in your community)*
- Help to find work, application forms, interviews etc
- Work placements with community, public or private sector employers
- One to one support for those who need a little extra help
* Step Ahead is only for those who have been on benefits for 30 months, contact us for more details
Who is eligible?
Anyone over 18 years old who is not working (or is working less than 16 hours each week) and lone parents aged over 16 years of age who meet these conditions.
You do not need to be claiming benefit to take part in Steps 2 Work.

This programme is a chance for you to gain the skills, experience and confidence you need to find a permanent job.

A 12 week programme designed to help people return to work. The Work Preparation Programme is one element of Pathways to Work operated by DEL.
