Steps to Work

Steps 2 Work is a Department for Employment and Learning programme and is delivered in our area by South West College in conjunction with locally based organisations including Job Directions/CWP.

What We Offer

  • Step Ahead(Waged jobs in the community/charity sector)
  • Back to Work (work experience placements)

 * Step Ahead is for those who have been on benefits for 30 months, you tell us what job you want, we find it for you and pay the wage.  The work must be for a community or charity organisation (not for profit)

* Back to Work is open to anyone over 18 years old who is not working (or is working less than 16 hours each week) and lone parents aged over 16 years of age who meet these conditions.

You do not need to be claiming benefit to take part in Steps 2 Work.
